Wer glaubt Industrial Metal könne nur noch die x-te Kopie der Kopie produzieren, sollte mal nach Finnland hören. Von dort schreien und rocken Cold Cold Ground was das zeug hält. Die „enfants sauvages“ aus Helsinki haben in Finnland so gut wie jede Bretterbude bespielt und wollen jetzt den Rest von Europa besudeln. Ihr Debutalbum “This Side of Depravity” könnte auch als Soundtrack der „Droogies“ aus Clockwork Orange im Jahre 2011 durchgehen. Ihr Markenzeichen, das blutverschmierte Killerhäschen erinnert nur entfernt an Monthy Pythons „Ritter der Kokusnuß“ und erzählt im reich bebilderten Booklet seine eigene kleine Horrorshow. Die Texte sind so wie der Titel des Album verderbt und nichts für Schöngeister und zarte Seelen, denn „Die with a dick in your mouth“ und andere herrlich fäkale Titel bewegen sich auf der schmalen Spur zur Zensur. Musikalisch kombinieren die vier Nordlichter Misfits, Prodigy und NIN mit dem finnischen Grundbedürfnis für Melodien und erweitern das Spektrum des Industrial Rock kurzweilig und grundlegend.

Cold Cold Ground is an industrial rock group from Helsinki, Finland. Their debut album “This Side of Depravity” is filled up to the brim with dark melodies and brutal industrial rhythms. But the music is only one part of the package: the visual side and the overall atmosphere are equally important. Since their formation in 2004, Cold Cold Ground has been shaking up the Finnish rock scene with their distinctive live shows and music videos. This unique band has already elicited strong emotions in Finnish rock journalists, and they have also supported KMFDM and Project Pitchfork live at their Helsinki shows. Now the time has come to introduce these freaks to the rest of the world.
